Glazing Options

The standard glazing material for Allied Window products is clear double-strength (DSB) glass with a thickness of 1/8" 3mm. These products can also accept glazing materials of 5/32" 4mm and 3/16" 5mm. Some special models can accept 1/4" 6mm materials. Glass thickness is determined by factory guidelines or project specifications.

Typical glazing material options are:

  • Annealed glass
  • Laminated glass
  • Tinted glass
  • Polycarbonate (Lexan, Tuffak or equal)
    • Standard
    • XL (Extra Life)
    • MR (Mar Resistant)
  • Tempered glass
  • Low-E glass
  • Obscure glass
  • Acrylic (Plexiglas, Acrylite or equal)
    • Standard
    • 99% UV Filtering (Plexiglas UF-3, Acrylite OP-2, or equal)
    • Tinted


    Note: A variety of window films are available that can be applied to any of the glass surfaces above.
